This house was a minute walk to the beach and had amazing views of the ocean from the living room and the room upstairs. The beds and couches were comfortable to relax in, felt right at home. Plenty of bath and beach towels available, and the kitchen was equipped with plenty of plates, pot and pans. Sweet Homes was very responsive if we needed anything. We had such a great stay!!

We thought the house very quaint. The bonus large yard was a nice surprise. The decorations of all the beach pictures and extras were lovely. We enjoyed the ocean views, especially in the upstairs bedroom. Definitely would book this property again.

A small group of coworkers and I had a lovely workshopping retreat at this seaside cottage. The view of the ocean is stunning, and beach access is just a block from the front door. We found the beds comfortable. The house was clean and well stocked with towels, blankets, and cooking utensils.

This was a treasure found at the coast! It is difficult to find a last-minute get-away, so this was a surprise. Spacious, with lovely art and thoughtful quotes around the house. An amazing view from the kitchen table and living room, which was the place to be while having a great meal as the sun set on the coastal horizon.

We had a fantastic time at Abalone Cottage. The house was everything we were looking for and had easy beach access. We especially enjoyed the ping pong table and other games provided while we were at the house. We reached out to the hosts with a minor issue about one of the doorknobs and they sent someone out to fix it the next morning. Would definitely recommend this property from Sweet Homes.

Cute and cozy cottage just steps away from the perfect strolling beach. We've been to Yachats many times and this is our new favorite spot. The hot tub and game room are great, along with the many spaces to chill in the house. Not right downtown, but worth the 3 minute drive for the peace you get here. Perfect place for a family getaway.

We very much enjoyed our time at Abalone cottage. Each bedroom had its own charm, the eat-in kitchen was easy to use, and the game room and hot tub were a nice bonus after a day on the beach.

Perfect location outside of town, quiet neighborhood. Easy  beach access for able body (steep short hill, but 71 year old grandma did okay). Hot tub was nice way to end every day. Location was close to both Newport and Florence (half hour either direction) with the little town of Yachats only a few minutes away. Two 11 year old enjoyed ping pong and the beach every day. For five people this was perfect.

Stayed here for a girls weekend getaway. Lots of space for all of us! Wish we found the game room the first night we were there. Short distance to the beach. Love the rooftop dining area and hot tub! Definitely would come back!

This house is very worth the price you pay!! We had endless fun and it was so relaxing. Everything was very clean, tidy, cute decorations and the hot tub was so nice! We definitely will be coming back :)

My whole family was definitely happy with our stay. Super cute mermaid decor. Lots of activities for everyone especially the hot tub. Beach access was quick. The view was amazing to wake up to. Grocery stores, little shops within 5-10 minute drive. 10/10 would recommend!

This is a cozy cottage extremely close to the water. I enjoyed listening to the waves all night long. It was well equipped and there were plenty of linens for our stay. It was everything we were expecting.

As beach rentals go this one has a lived in feel, and quickly feels like home. Had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was amazing especially in the misty morning and relaxing with breathtaking views are all you could ask for. Thank you SH crew the place was sparkling clean and welcoming!

Was a good place to stay. Some of our highlights were the location to the beach, the hot tub, and the backyard/garage area that is made into a game room. The place had the basic needs to be away from home for the weekend.

Abalone Cottage was a great spot for a coastal visit. While not directly on the ocean, the views were lovely, especially from the west-facing 2nd floor bedroom. Yachats is a great destination and we enjoyed walking the 804 trail from the Smelt Sands trail head into town. Cape Perpetua is one of the most scenic points on the entire Oregon Coast and is only minutes from this home. We greatly enjoyed out stay.

Wonderful beach house for family vacation!

We had a wonderful time in this ocean view property for our annual family vacation with 5 adults and 3 children. The home had amazing views, was only steps from beach access (and relatively easy access, not down cliffs like some other beaches along the coast), and were then able to walk for miles and miles. The house was nicely furnished and had everything that we needed for a restful vacation. Also centrally located for easy day trips to up to Depoe Bay one day and down to Coos Bay the next, but we really could have stayed put at the house all week and been perfectly happy. Looking forward to coming back!

This was our first time in Oregon and we fell in love. We loved being able to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The view was spectacular. Most of all this home was so comfortable it felt like home. The town people were friendly. We loved the area. We were blessed to have everything we needed provided for us. We loved it so much we are now thinking of moving here. The best place we ate was the Luna Sea Fish House. Thank you for the best vacation.

When we arrived the home was ready, lights were turned on and it had a welcoming feel to it. It was peaceful and clean. The proximity to the beach was spectacular and so fun for my children even though it was super cold. There were plenty of dishes for our meals. Beds were comfortable and we loved the theme of the home. We had a spectacular time over our holiday and the home really met and exceeded our expectations. Thanks!

We enjoyed staying in the house: there were 6 adults and 1 teen, and it was great. The house is comfortable for a big party (7 people). The house is clean and  well-equipped with all basics. The kitchen has lots of necessary things and much more.

We were in Yachats for the annual Celtic Fest but this time we brought the whole family. There was plenty of space for family to be together at the beach house or in your bedroom or the living room staring out at the ocean. The house is well equipped. Everything and more in the kitchen in terms of just about anything you would need to cook with. No cell phone service was the only drawback. Make sure to get the house number so people can reach you if you cannot reach them.

Eclectic artistic and comfortable is how I would describe Abalone Beach Cottage. Plenty of space to spread out but also a nice cozy feel. Really close to the beach. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.
