Words can scarcely scratch the surface - this comfortable, clean, and well appointed a-frame cabin has stunning beach front views from every room in the house. In my fifteen years of loyal airbnd patronage, Above the Waves is truly one of those gems we will be talking about for a long time to come. What a treat. Comfy, cozy, clean. We celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary here and had a great time. This is a very unique house and location. Fantastic beach and sunset views, had our anniversary dinner on the table on the deck, no restaurant could beat that view! Private and fun path to the beach and a good workout coming back up the steps. Overall a great stay, will come back again.

If you want an amazing view of the beach and coast, a peaceful place to relax, this is it! I could lay in the bedroom watching the waves for hours. A surprisingly large home too. Much bigger than I expected. Host communicates proactively too.

The view is every bit as fantastic as in the pictures. We had a great few days here. Appreciated having the washer and dryer so we could do laundry and not have to pack as many clothes for the plane ride. Great instructions for check in.

Beautiful view!! The home was comfortable, nicely updated, and had an amazing view with easy access to the beach. The fenced in yard was also helpful since we had our 2 dogs with us. We really enjoyed our stay!

Stayed here for a restorative weekend with an old friend. We loved the location, the comfortable and clean accommodations and the extraordinary view! We were able to prepare food in the kitchen, and also enjoyed the local shops and restaurants. This is a very special property unlike any other I've rented. A peaceful setting with easy beach access and a sense of being some place truly special. The Aquarium is about 10 minutes away and so much fun. Thank you for sharing your incredible property.

The house is in a great location with incredible views. The pathway to the beach was a really nice feature. Overall we enjoyed the house for a weekend. Bedrooms: It wasn’t quite clear to us that two of the rooms were in the lower level, across from the garage. The primary bedroom is simply awesome and very spacious. The view of the ocean is unbeatable from that bedroom. The secondary bedroom was cute and seemed to work well for our parents. Kitchen: The kitchen is a little challenging to cook in given the large timbers of the house, but how often do you get the chance to cook in a kitchen like that? It was well equipped and the large sink and island are a great feature. Living room: There was lots of living space and we never felt cramped. Between the couch, tv chairs and bar chairs, there was plenty of seating and places to move around. Outside: The deck was great for ocean watching and the yard was just right for our dog.

The primary bedroom has fantastic views. The kitchen is well supplied The bedroom on main level is comfortable The two downstairs bedrooms are off garage - fine for teenagers or older children. No bathroom on that level. This is great house for families with older kids might be awkward for a group of couples.

This place made for an amazing stay at the coast. The house itself was very comfortable and its kitchen was perfect for preparing meals and for sitting around the huge bar to enjoy them. As for the view, it was stunning — book this place to see for yourself!

Amazing spot! Perfect for beach days since it is just a short walk down. The views are great for whale watching (we saw so many). Kitchen it fully loaded and the space was comfy. Would book again!

Beautiful spot on the coast, beds were comfy. The private beach access was a little difficult for my 76 yr old mother but the rest of us loved it. The view from the deck, living room and upper level bedroom are amazing. Plenty of cooking and serving items. We will be back.

The house is very well maintained, clean, with excellent kitchen and well-suited for family or small friends group gatherings. Liked being near Luna Restaurant, great place to paddle board nearby and a lovely creek/state park area, proximity to Newport and wonderful beach to enjoy with great tide pools at low tide. An amazing stay on a private cliff side with stunning views through the windows. The area was great just right down the road from the coast aquarium. The home was very comfortable and the upstairs bathroom was super luxurious, we would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was very clean. It has private beach access which made it easy to get to the beach quickly. The location is extremely beautiful and peaceful. Located 5 minutes away from the Seal Rock State Park. It was also very close to some great breakfast places and restaurants. I’ll definitely recommend this place to my friends.

The house was exactly how it is described in the listing! Very clean and conducive to our needs and wants out of a weekend getaway spot. It was a more than ideal location to get to numerous options for sightseeing and eateries-whether it be Waldport or Newport! And I think our pups loved it as much as we did given how it was only a few steps to an almost private beach to run and smell!

This place was great for a group. The kitchen was well stocked for our group of 8, having everything from utensils to a big stock pot to boil crab. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the views were spectacular!
