This space is beautiful and cozy. It was more spacious than expected and everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen items are well thought out, but be sure to bring your own coffee! The view and beach access were phenomenal and the fenced in yard was perfect for our blind dog. Great stay!

We come to the Yachats/Waldport area at least once a year for the lack of crowds and the quiet. This oceanfront beach house exceeded our expectations. It was very quiet and private. The interior was very clean and well stocked. There were numerous extra touches, from good books, games and puzzles to nice extra blankets and linens. The kitchen was very well stocked. Nice hot tub too, setback from the wind but still a beautiful ocean view. The house felt small when we arrived, but we were very comfortable and had plenty of individual privacy. Sweet Homes manages the property. We were 3 people over 70, one of which had just had emergency surgery, and were concerned about unloading our luggage. We called ahead and they had a staff member waiting to unload us AND reloaded us when we left. There were no chairs outside and they immediately brought us chairs. Above and beyond service! Great folks! The beach access was too intimidating for 2 of us, but 2 houses down there is direct easy public stairs down to the beach. Takes one minute! We will return to Once Upon a Tide again!

We had a great stay! The house is super cute, comfortable, and in a quiet area. The turn off is a little hidden, so take caution exiting the 101. The beach access from the backyard was just fine for us, but there are community stairs you can access just 2 houses down. This is a nice stretch of beach, clean, quiet, and GORGEOUS. We had the beach basically all to ourselves. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard and watching the ocean from the living room and bedroom areas. Such a perfect location, just a few minutes drive to Waldport and Yachats, and a 25-minute drive to Newport for shopping and more touristy activities. Sweet Homes was a joy to stay with. Check in/check out instructions were very clear and the communication was the right amount. We had a minor issue with one of the heaters that was on the fritz and they were super responsive and addressed it right away. We REALLY enjoyed this stay will definitely be back!

Very nice updated beach cottage. Well equipped. Great ocean views! The access to beach could be worked on but there is a nice access a block from house. Some chairs on the back patio would have been nice but other than that it was perfect for our little thanksgiving gathering.

It was super fun and such a great space! Perfect for the 4 of us. Kids had a blast on the beach and playing all the board games. House was clean and had all the things we needed! Would definitely rent again. The kitchen could use a couple baking sheets and a sharper knife but otherwise it was well stocked!

Super comfy beds! Beach was very private. The rock steps to the beach weren’t super secure but with a careful step it was all good. Close to the famous big stump. Hot tub overlooking the waves was amazing! The tv room is a great flex space if you need more than 2 bedrooms.

Pros: Sheets super soft, plenty of towels, working hot tub, views, 2 living rooms, floor mop and vacuum is nice to use as well as washer/dryer. We loved the location and the home.

We love Waldport and this house was perfect! Location could not be better, and the house was adorable, clean, and had everything we needed. Note: we could easily navigate the rocks down to the beach, but our dog could not. There were steps to the beach one house down, which was perfect!

My husband and I initially chose this place because it was on the beach and pet friendly, but we got soooo much more than we expected. This place had the most thoughtful, cutest decor and touches throughout. Even upon arrival, we were greeted with soothing sounds playing on a TV and fresh scents. Such a peaceful welcome! The place was clean, well-stocked, and more spacious than we were expecting. Sitting in the private hot tub while listening to the ocean waves was a one-of-a-kind experience. One of the bedrooms also faced the ocean and it was so nice listening to the waves at night. I thought we might get too hot at night without central AC, but the ocean breeze really kept us cool. There was an adorable record player with tons of records and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to soothing, nostalgic music. There weren't many good restaurants close by, but Yachats 10 min south had good places and Newport 30 min north also had good places. But none of that really mattered because we were too busy enjoying the beach with our pups!! The direct access from the airbnb with so convenient to not have to get in the car. The neighbor Brenda is as sweet as EVER! I can go on and on, but all of this is to say the place was amazing and probably one of our favorite airbnbs we've ever booked. We only stayed two nights at this airbnb and wished we had stayed many more! I hope we are able to come back. One small thing to note is that if you are doing laundry, make sure the hose hanging on the front patio is not blocking the outside dryer vent (white cap) because your clothes will never dry.

Sitting in the private hot tub with just the sound of the ocean was so relaxing and one of the best parts of the trip. The house is off the main highway, so we never heard any cars driving by. The ocean can easily be heard from inside the house with the windows open, which was another great perk. The beach is literally at the edge of the yard. Access to the beach from the yard is a little bit of a climb down some rocks (with a railing), which wasn't an issue for my husband, myself or our dogs, but would likely be an issue for those with mobility issues. We wished the TV room was more comfortable for laying around in, so we spent most of our relaxing time on the bed instead. The home's location is awesome - the beach is literally in the backyard! The beach wasn't busy when we visited in late September, which nearly made it feel like a "private" beach. The hot tub's view at sunset is also top notch. And the home has clearly been updated with attention to details - modernized with clean, simple lines and splashes of color. Having a record player and a stash of classical records was also an unexpected and wonderful surprise. The home isn't in walking distance of Waldport or Yachats, however, so having a car to get places is a must. The host also doesn't want dogs on furniture, and asks guests to bring blankets to place over furniture in case your dog can't follow that rule, which ours certainly can't. I found that to be a reasonable alternative.

This is one of the best AirBNB's my husband and I have ever stayed in! It was beautiful and a perfect location! This property had a great yard and steps down to a private beach! It was so peaceful and watching the sunset every night was great. We would wake up to the sound of the ocean every morning. This place also has a hot tub. We enjoyed many restaurant trips to Yachats with the dog, and Newport. This is a great location and an amazing find! Very clean. We can't wait to go back!

The location is perfect and the beach is not super crowded. They have adequate kitchen appliances; crockpot, breakfast griddle, and more. The neighbors are friendly and the hot tub worked perfectly. The beach access is a little rough, but my kids and partner were able to handle it fine. There is an easier option just about 100 yards over with stairs for easier access.

The location was amazing! Literally steps from the beach, the beach access from the house wasn't exactly safe, but if you walked just past the neighboring house there was a much safer way down. The kitchen had a wide array of small appliances, and serving/baking dishes. Put no salt and pepper or other condiments (not sure if this is Covid related or just they norm). Hot Tub and was definitely dated but usable.

Our stay could not have been better. Truly a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy the Oregon Coast. The home had everything a person would need and the sweet homes team is amazing. Awesome house with easy beach access and beautiful views. Tastefully decorated and well maintained. Kitchen was stocked with just about every utensil we needed for cooking in for a week. We did bring a cast-iron skillet and were glad we did. The hot tub looked and smelt very clean and we enjoyed watching the sunsets from it most evenings. Most of all we were grateful to have our dog with us and such easy access to miles of beach whether you wanted to walk all the way to Waldport at low tide or I would venture to guess you could trek all the way to yachats going south. Our next-door neighbor was very kind and even brought us a plate of cookies one day! We had a wonderfully relaxing week!

This place is just lovely. Very clean and well managed, easy arrival, perfect location. The house is nicely updated with designer finishes. Great for a couple or small family, and two couples could make it work. The weekend we stayed was rainy and blustery, so we appreciated the easy beach access which allowed us to take advantage of the cloud breaks. Note that on the other side of the neighboring house there is a beach access path with better stairs, if you need them. We were fine with using the ones in the back yard. Fully functional kitchen, bring your own spices, sugar, coffee, condiments etc. Definitely five stars!

Perfect place for a relaxing ocean getaway! We LOVED this quaint home and saw seals in the ocean every morning from the couch. The best part is the hot tub under the stars - hardly any light pollution. And you can't beat the location, right on the beach!!!

Beautiful view, even from the front room! Kitchen was well equipped. Spaces were very useful and spacious for my family. The beach access was very easy but for myself I opted for a easier path, it was a bit scary for me. There is an easier access within a few steps of the property. The master bedroom has a very comfy bed and the ocean waves lull you to sleep! I would stay here again!!

This is a spacious home that was perfect for the four of us. It has a great backyard area that our dog loved. The yard overlooks the ocean and is just a few steps away from the sand. We made multiple trips to the hot tub and enjoyed some beautiful sunsets from the backyard while cooking steaks on the grill. This place is awesome and I can’t wait to return!

Wonderful little getaway home!

This place was the absolute perfect getaway for my Husband and I with our two dogs. The home itself is very clean, cozy and a perfect location - right on the beach and close to Waldport and Yachats. It was the perfect place for our dogs to have easy access to the beach, and the yard (while not completely fenced in), makes it very easy to keep an eye on them. We would HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone looking for a coastal getaway!

An adorable house and wonderful location

We have stayed in this area many, many times. This particular house is now on our favorites list. It was very comfortable and well equipped. We especially enjoyed sitting in the lawn chairs on the grass and having an unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. The rock stairs to the beach took a bit of skill to master but were manageable and we loved our long walks on the sand. We saw whales and seals and lots of birds. The weather was the best we've ever had on the Oregon coast - most days cleared off by noon and we had sunshine and very little wind. A delightful stay!

We had a wonderful stay!

Easily our favorite stay yet! The view is absolutely amazing! We loved have the ocean to wake up to each morning! It was the most relaxing week ever! The aquarium was super fun! We recommend going to Seal Rock. Thank you for the great stay. It was so amazing we didn't feel the need to leave!
