Inside this gorgeous, contemporary house, all the luxuries of home are waiting for you. It is finely appointed with maple cabinets, granite countertops, bamboo flooring, free WIFI and satellite television, washer and dryer. The primary bedroom has an ensuite bath with a jetted tub large enough for two! Three more bedrooms and two baths down the hall will make your stay delightful and relaxing. Downstairs is another complete apartment with bedroom, bath and kitchen to add extra room and privacy. OurSandCastle is set back 120 feet from the beach and was designed to maximize the fabulous views by locating the entire living area on the upper floor of this two-story dwelling. Downstairs there is a two-car garage for your use where you will find a ping-pong table for indoor fun and beach chairs and other items to make your time on the beach more comfortable. Dogs are only welcome in the downstairs apartment and garage of OurSandCastle and will love to frolic at the beach.
There is a private trail that leads to a sturdy set of stairs that will take you down to a 7-mile stretch of flat sandy beach, perfect for a day in the sun, reading your book, hunting for shells, stretching your legs, or just contemplating nature at its finest. Don't forget to bring your hiking shoes because Yachats, Oregon is surrounded by spectacular hiking. Just a short drive south you will find Cape Perpetua, the highest point on the Oregon coast. Further south from here is Heceta Head Lighthouse, where you can tour an original lighthouse from 1894. The Oregon coast is known for its beautiful scenery and activities, and OurSandCastle puts you in the heart of it all.
This home does not allow cat guests or other non-human, non-canine visitors. Dogs are welcome at this home but must be registered in advance and paid prior to arrival. This home has a 2-dog maximum occupancy! Pet Guests: One time $35+tax fee per dog. Pet fees are not included in the original reservation.
Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision.

It was exactly what we needed and just as described in the listing. The beach was very close and easy to get to from a private stairway. The view was spectacular; a little warm in the evening as the sun shone through the windows, but great views. This host was more responsive than any I've encountered so far; it was a great experience and we'll return.

We have been meeting up with an old college roommates family for the last 16 years. Every summer for a week or so, usually somewhere in Oregon since they're in WA and we're in CA. This is probably the nicest and most enjoyable place we've stayed. When we initially booked, I thought this house was "ocean front", but later I realized we were one house back. This concerned me for a bit, but once we were in the house I realized it was effectively the same thing. The view from the top floor (where we spent 90% of our "inside" time) was phenomenal. Beach access is a 60-80' walk from the front door to the stairs down to the beach. Nearly every time we rent a house, my wife and I think "if it were ours, we would change this." There wasn't ANYTHING we wanted to change about this house. It was a little tricky to find the driveway the first time, but that might be attributed to Google Maps and two driveways side by side. We ALWAYS try someplace new. We may come back to this one!

Our stay at the Yachats beach house was great! Lots of room for everyone to be together. The view was amazing and the beach was just steps away. The home was clean and comfortable, stocked with the basics. The town of Yachats was more than a quick walk for coffee but only a 5 min. drive. I would recommend a stay at OurSandCastle!

Comfortable spacious home conveniently located just a few miles North of Yachats. Great separation of space with a separate apartment downstairs. The beach walk is easily accessible down a flight of sturdy stairs!

The house was perfect for our family of 6 (4 kids) and 2 small dogs. The locaton was great as we really enjoyed morning walks on the beach. The big windows overlooking the ocean from the living room, and kitchen, was a great view. Lots to do and see nearby in Yachats, Florence, and Newport as well.

We enjoyed our stay during the stormy weather. The private access to the beach was awesome and the view was great. The neighbor to the south was not the friendliest and there is absolutely ZERO cell service unless you are on the beach which made finding the towels (hand towels, bath towels, and washcloths) when we got there difficult but we eventually found them on our own in the garage. The kitchen was well stocked minus items like cooking spray. We enjoyed our stay.

We have had the luxury of spending time at OurSandCastle just north of Yachats, Oregon. It is such a lovely spacious home and offers everything you need for the perfect holiday. The views from the balcony are amazing and just steps from a long ocean beach.
Don and Linda are gracious hosts going out of their way to make sure that you have a comfortable and pleasant stay. We cannot recommend OurSandCastle enough.

We had such an amazing time at this home. It is beautiful, well furnished with lovely things and the view and access to the beach was perfect. They clearly put a lot of thought into making sure you have a great get-away. We had a full house and never felt crowded. There is plenty of space. We'll be back again for sure. For a future guests, make sure to check out the Green Salmon. The home comes with a coffee maker but its great to support the local small business and their pastries and breakfast bagels are AMAZING!!

We had a girls weekend and it was great to spend it so close to a private beach and a very well appointed house. The pictures don't do the house justice! So clean! Even the bunkbed was comfortable! The bedrooms and bathrooms were just right. Cooking was simple, with a great selection of cookware and bakeware. Thank you dear property owners for the great care you take of this home. It shows.

Our two families of 4 shared this rental for a week and loved it. It was impeccably clean on check in. There were ample extras...Extra towels, extra bedding, Extra sand toys, beach chairs, ping pong table! The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a vacation rental. Great pans, knives, utensils. While we were there the owners dropped off a new barbecue! The barbecue that was already there was better than any we'd ever had - usually the sea air just destroys them. Clearly, Linda and Don take pride in their home. There was even a sweet note and taffy waiting for us when we arrived. The beach is easy to access with nice sturdy steps. The owners do have an apartment below the house, but they were only there for some of our stay and were completely out of sight and respectful of our privacy. I highly recommend this spot for a large group!

This home is very nicely appointed--and with fantastic views of the ocean surf, and the large living space is very well laid out to accomodate a large family or small group. It sleeps 9--we had up to 6 adults overnight and up to 8 for meals and it was perfect! The kitchen is by far the best-stocked of any home I've rented. Beds were comfortable and the bedrooms are separated from the living room by bathrooms and laundry area, so those who want to sleep are not disturbed by people in the living area. The views are wonderful and the small deck is perfect for reading in the sunshine. Beach chairs and toys and ping-pong table were added "extras" that we enjoyed. Linda was super helpful and very accessible/responsive during the booking and pre-trip process. Check in was easy. All in all--a Wonderful experience! Highly recommend!

The view, the access to the beach, and the beach itself- were all amazing. And the rental house - could not have been more spacious and comfortable. More window area looking out at the beach, than we have ever seen before.
We highly recommend this beach house. We have lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 65 years and have visited the Washington and Oregon coasts many times - and this was our all-time favorite.

We have stayed in 8 different properties from Lincoln City to Yachats. This was best location for hiking and beach activities. Our grand daughters cried the day we left, that was a first. Don and Linda were so great and we felt like we were part of the family. Hope to return to this spot many times in the future!!!!

Our family- 6 adults and 2 small children- had a great Oregon coast vacation at Our Sand Castle. The house was beautifully decorated and well equipped. Weather was great all week- refreshingly cool after the heat we've had in Minnesota. The beach was incredible, and so private...we basically had miles of beach to ourselves all week. We met the owners, and Don and Linda were very gracious hosts. This is the perfect property, and a great base to explore the Yachats area. Fun brewery, great restaurants, and friendly people. Loved everything about Our Sand Castle- hated to leave!

Sand Castle was a fantastic place to stay. Dan and Linda were the perfect hosts. Kitchen had everything that was needed plus more. Rooms were squeaky clean. The view were perfect to empty the stress bucket. The grand kids enjoyed the ping pong table which burned up the remaining energy they had at the end of the day. On our list to return next year on our annual trip up the Oregon coast with our sons families.
